EARLY LIFE-
Full name of Bill gates is “WILLIAM HENRY GATES III” born on October 28, 1955. He was born in Seattle, Washington, U.S.
Gates is the son of “William H. gates Sr. (1925-2020) and Mary Maxwell gates (1929-1994).
Gates was blessed with 2 sisters, older sister named Kristi and the younger named Libby.
His father was a lawyer and mother was on the Boards of directors for “FIRST INTERSTATE BANCSYSTEM” and United way of America.
At a very small age of 7 years, Gates, home that was located at a sand-point area was crushed by a tornado. Then like almost every parent, Gates parents also wanted him to pursue an ambition of their choice and wanted him to be a lawyer.
Gates early life was also full of challenges; he was bullied at a small age. Then he was enrolled to school where he wrote his first software program. Slowly and gradually, he realized that he has an interest in programming and then he used to excuse his Math classes to follow his passion for programming.
LEARNING AND EDUACATION-
Gates wrote his first computer program on the machine, that program used to play games against the computer.
Then Gates realized that he was fascinated by computer program and want to explore more about it. He started collaborating with his best friend named Evans to make more programs.
Finally, their class teacher of LAKESIDE PREP SCHOOL gave them both a task for automating the class- schedule system. They both were so passionate about computers that they worked hard for the task but then again a turning point came when Evans died in an accident that was considered as one of the worst day for Gates life.
Gates were a strong personality from his childhood, he regains his confidence, completed that task with Allen, and initially started a firm with him.
Gates was the most talented student and got admissions at HARVARD UNIVERSITY in 1973, but he wanted to create his own startup and has a huge interest in making software, so he convinced his parents about the same and dropped out from Harvard and started Microsoft with his Lakeside prep school friend Paul Allen and then worked with Steve ballmer, one of his fellow-mate at Harvard.
Till long years they worked, Ballmer succeeded Gates as Microsoft’s CEO and maintained his position from 2000 until the resignation in 2014.
OCCUPATION-
Gates is an American business magnate, Software developer and Philanthropist, Entrepreneur.
His name took the peak when he was recognized as the Co- founder of Microsoft Corporation.
From his early childhood he was engaged with computer programs and to be known for what he was passionate about is such an amazing thing.
During his tenure in Microsoft, he holds several positions of Chairman, Chief executive officer (CEO), President and chief software architect, and at the same time he was also being the largest individual shareholder until May 2014.
His name is considered as one of the “Best known entrepreneur and pioneers of the microcomputer revolution” of 1970s and 1980s.
When Gates developed Windows operating system, during the initial days he get no success and didn’t receive much appreciation for the work but gradually the operating system became one of the most used systems In the world.
PERSONAL LIFE-
Bill gates was a spontaneous person and became millionaire at the age of 31.
Gates was married to Melinda on 1 January 1994. The first meeting of Melinda and Gates was at Microsoft only when Melinda entered as the Product manager of Microsoft. Then Melinda found Gates impressive and approached him for a date.
They both were interested in each other and hence decides to get married. Gates and Melinda now have 3 kids and now with this they are have engaged themselves in Philanthropic work with an enterprise boasting a $40.3 billion endowment.
After this In June 2006, Gates announced that he would be transitioning to a part time role at Microsoft and full time work at the Bill and Melinda foundation that they both have established together in the year 2000.
Then after serving so much to the company, Bill thought to give his time to the private charitable foundation owned by him and Melinda. He stepped down to the chairman of Microsoft in February 2014 and has given his prestigious support to the newly appointed CEO of Microsoft “SATYA NADELLA”.
In March 2020, Gates thought to leave his positions at the boards of Microsoft and rather he should spend his money and time on Philanthropy. Some of his work for Philanthropy involves “GLOBAL HEALTH AND DEVELOPMENT”, “EDUACATION”, “CLIMATE CHANGE”.
Gates was a responsible person and his time management is appreciable. He has never affected his personal life because of his work. Gates started with Paul and they both worked for 1st PC software named ALTAIR 8800 COMPUTER and later they both formed a partnership company that they named as MICROSOFT.
At the beginning of 1979, Gates shifted the company’s operation to Washington and placed himself as the head of MICROSOFT, which has approximately $2.5 million in 1979. The most admirable thing is Gates was only 23 when he achieved all this.
Gates was so determined for his company that he checked all the program personally and even rewrites them if found any mistake.
Slowly company’s named IBM, APPLE, INTEL also stated their way for their software companies but then also Gates himself trained all his workers who were working with his company.
Then Microsoft license a software name MS-DOS .
When Gates was working for Microsoft, Steve jobs company APPLE was also pulling up his socks to match up to the level of Microsoft, however Microsoft and apple has shared many of their innovations together.
Later in March 1986, Gates took Microsoft public with an initial public offering of $21 per share, although Gates has shared 45% of the company’s share himself and the amazing journey for Bill gates never stopped from that time.
We’ve always heard that “Hard-work always pay back” and this is what happened with Gates as well.
His dedication and passion for programming changed his life and paid him so well that today he stands out from everybody else around the globe.
